MGS Foreign Excursions - more information

Sardinia, 30 April to 7 May 2017

Noted landscaper Maurizio Usai will lead the tour through the island's extraordinarily diverse landscapes, with stunning coastal and mountain views, flamingos in coastal lagoons, remarkably unspoilt Bronze Age sites, and rugged uplands with maquis, cork oaks and rocky ravines. Wildflower riches include some two dozen orchid species, and the tour will give a good taste of the island's distinctive culture (and food specialities). It will start with the spectacular Sant'Efisio parades in the colourful port city of Cagliari with its medieval citadel and interesting botanical garden, and will include other gardens, vineyards, an area known for its ancient olives, and an extraordinary sea-cliff former mining site.

To cover so much ground, the group will keep moving, staying in different hotels for one or two nights at a time. The cost of the tour, not including flights, will depend on the number of people taking part, but if as we hope about 25 people come it will be in the region of €1,250 each (more for people in single rooms). If you are interested please contact mgssardinia@gmail.com as soon as possible.
